題干中的but表轉折關(guān)系，在對選項進(jìn)行比較時(shí)A，B，C比較容易吸引考生眼球，因為它們與劃線(xiàn)句相似，D和E憑空多出個(gè)think，讓人感覺(jué)難以接受，但是如果僅僅以這個(gè)理由進(jìn)行排除顯然是證據不足的。我們應該先分析原句結構，抓住主線(xiàn)，該句屬于平行結構形式，D和E中的think與view在意思上形成對應，所以我們不應對這兩個(gè)答案帶有任何偏見(jiàn)，而應一視同仁。根據GMAT語(yǔ)法原則，不能隨意省略成分，否則句意就會(huì )出現ambiguity。比較五個(gè)選項，只有D的句意表達最完整。而為什么要使用think一詞我們大可不必去追究，這只是無(wú)關(guān)痛癢的小問(wèn)題。

解答本題時(shí)首先排除的是D答案，因為differ from不能用在句首。本題的正確答案為C，但是很多考生的目光都是在C上暫作停留就轉向其他選項了。原因是C中連用了兩個(gè)yield，這樣的句子毫無(wú)美感可言，缺乏變化�？墒乔f(wàn)別忘記考慮到句子重心問(wèn)題，其他幾個(gè)答案都是把句子重心搞錯了，smoke和cigarette對應有誤，這可是大禁忌，比起這個(gè)錯誤來(lái)，用詞重復還算得了什么呢?
