教學(xué)內容：
Unit 2 New York is in the east of America.
學(xué)習任務(wù)：
Where is New York? It’s here, in the east.
教學(xué)功能：
講述某個(gè)地方的地理位置和相關(guān)的基本信息。
運用任務(wù)：
兩人合作，描述各省所在的方位，
教學(xué)過(guò)程：
一、熱身復習
老師出示一張中國地圖并進(jìn)行介紹：This is a map of China. I’m from Beijing. It’s in the north of China.然后向學(xué)生提問(wèn)：Where are you from/ Where is your uncle from? Where is your pen friend from?
二、任務(wù)呈現與課文導入
老師出示Simon的圖片，向學(xué)生提問(wèn)：Who is he? 學(xué)生回答：He’s Simon. He’s Daming’s cousin.再問(wèn)：Where is he from?學(xué)生回答：He’s from New York, America.
出示美國地圖并向學(xué)生提問(wèn)：This is a map of America. Can you find New York?引導學(xué)生在地圖上找到紐約的位置。
三、課文教學(xué)
在地圖上標注east, south, west, north,幫助學(xué)生復習這些單詞，并注意糾正他們的發(fā)音。老師領(lǐng)讀后，根據口令做動(dòng)作，例如
Please turn to north. Please turn to South. Please turn to east Please turn to west.
老師放錄音，學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)邊看SB2Unit 2活動(dòng)1的地圖，把錄音中提到的美國城市和國家名稱(chēng)寫(xiě)在黑板上。再放錄音，請學(xué)生跟讀。
通過(guò)問(wèn)答展現句型Where is New York? It’s in the east of America. What about San Francisco? It’s in the west of America.
學(xué)生們掌握本語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)后，老師教授第二種位置表達法。老師說(shuō)：”Where is Canada? It’s north of America. Where is Mexico? It’s south of America.引導學(xué)生發(fā)現這種表達與第一種表達法不同。因為加拿大和墨西哥在美國領(lǐng)土以外，所以表達方法不同。
鼓勵學(xué)生在完成SB Unit2活動(dòng)1的基礎上完成AB Unit2練習
四、課文學(xué)習
Sb Unit2活動(dòng)4.出示美國國旗，請學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)邊看，熟悉韻詩(shī)的內容。然后向學(xué)生講解他們不理解的內容，如單詞Tennessee,再放錄音，學(xué)生跟讀。掌握Chant后，可以全班一起完成AB Unit2練習3.再聽(tīng)錄音，根據錄音判斷練習中陳述是否正確。
課后作業(yè)：
SB Unit2活動(dòng)3聽(tīng)錄音模仿語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調，特別注意句子中的重音部分。
板書(shū)設計：
Unit 2 New York is in the east of America.
Where is New York? It’s here, in the east.
