　　On behalf of all the employees invited tonight， I would like to extend our congratulations to President and Mrs. Johnson for the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.

　　Twenty-five years seems like such a long time， especially to a man like me who got married only recently. I seriously wish I would be able to learn from President and Mrs. Johnson about the secret of having a happy and enduring marriage.

　　Customarily， a gift of silver is given on the twenty-fifth anniversary. We observe that custom， and would like to present a pair of silver 'jeou’ cups to honor your marriage. with these cups， I'm sure your marriage will always be in a high 'spirit'

　　3.在這種紀念典禮上幾乎多半祝賀當事者婚姻的“漫長(cháng)”和“久遠”，不過(guò)切忌使用“l(fā)ong”或“old”之類(lèi)的字眼。尤其在崇尚“年輕”文化的歐美，“old”屬負面形象。因以“enduring”（持久）等詞來(lái)為“老舊”的婚姻事實(shí)賦予光明的形象。
