(一)作文考試概況
寫(xiě)作部分測試學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行書(shū)面表達的能力，所占分值比例為15%，考試時(shí)間30分鐘。寫(xiě)作測試選用考生所熟悉的題材，要求考生根據所提供的信息及提示(如：提綱、情景、圖片或圖表等)寫(xiě)出一篇短文，四級120-180詞，六級150-200詞。
(二)作文評分原則
1. CET是檢查考生是否達到大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)大綱規定的六級教學(xué)要求，對作文的'評判應以此要求為準則。
2. CET作文題采用總體評分(Global Scoring)方法。閱卷人員就總的印象給出獎勵分(Reward Scores)，而不是按語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)的錯誤數目扣分。
3. 從內容和語(yǔ)言?xún)蓚�(gè)方面對作文進(jìn)行綜合評判。內容和語(yǔ)言是一個(gè)統一體，作文應表達題目所規定的內容，而內容要通過(guò)語(yǔ)言來(lái)表達。要考慮作文是否切題，是否充分表達思想，也要考慮是否用英語(yǔ)清楚而確切地表達思想，也就是要考慮語(yǔ)言上的錯誤是否造成理解上的障礙。
4. 避免趨中傾向。該給高分的給高分，包括滿(mǎn)分;該給低分的給低分，包括0分，一名閱卷人員在所閱的全部作文卷中不應只給中間的幾種分數。
(三)作文評分標準
本題滿(mǎn)分為15分，成績(jì)分為六個(gè)檔次：13-15分、10-12分、7-9分、4-6分、1-3分和0分。各檔次的評分標準見(jiàn)下表：
1、13-15分
切題。表達思想清楚，文字通順、連貫，基本上無(wú)語(yǔ)言錯誤，僅有個(gè)別小錯。
2、10-12分
切題。表達思想清楚，文字較連貫，但有少量語(yǔ)言錯誤。
3、7-9分
基本切題。有些地方表達思想不夠清楚，文字勉強連貫;語(yǔ)言錯誤相當多，其中有一些是嚴重錯誤。
4、4-6分
基本切題。表達思想不清楚，連貫性差。有較多的嚴重語(yǔ)言錯誤。
5、1-3分
條理不清，思路紊亂，語(yǔ)言支離破碎或大部分句子均有錯誤，且多數為嚴重錯誤。
6、0分
未作答，或只有幾個(gè)孤立的詞，或作文與主題毫不相關(guān)。
