During my study at the university, except for my specialty, I also have minored in WTO Business. The study of business makes me realize contradictions and deficiencies in law system about trade of China and firm my determination of pursuit of studying relevant specialities systematically. Although the task of the second degree is rater heavy, I have never confined myself to academic research. In more than three years, I have participated in many social practices, studying and utilizing law in practice. On summer holiday of the first academic year, I made an appearance in social practice; on summer holiday in the second academic year, I served my internship in economic court of Wuhan Economic Development Area People’s Court; in the third academic year, I practiced in Shanhe Lawyer Office in Hubei Province. All these are my unforgettable social experiences, which make me involve myself in the environment in need of law and place myself in social contradictions. I understand the connections and differences between knowledge of law on the textbooks and the society. Meanwhile, these practices firm my idea of developing myself into a lawyer.
In this June, due to my academic excellence and outstanding performance in IELTS (7.0 points), I was lucky to be sent to Law School of National University of Singapore for one-term exchange study. I think the experience will enable me to lay a solid foundation for my further studies. At present, the exchange study is still going on. It is helpful for me to receive law courses delivered in English and listen to case analysis of British and American law systems in class. On top of these, independent study and travel in an unfamiliar country enhances my adaptability and living ability.
Should I have the chance to study at yours, I will cherish it, arranging the one-year time reasonably, availing of the good academia and teaching resources of yours and obtaining LLM Degree with flying colors. With fully sincerity, I hope you grant me a chance to understand and study the perfect systems and ideas in economic and trade laws of your country and even the whole western countries. The knowledge is of great significance for me who dream of becoming the most excellent economic lawyer in China.
Life is choice. Law, overseas studies and lawyer are my regretless choices in my lifetime.
