1. 數字
數字類(lèi)題包括時(shí)間、日期、年齡、價(jià)格、電話(huà)號碼等。數字有的是可以直接從對話(huà)中聽(tīng)出，有的則需要通過(guò)計算才能得出答案。 如：
W: What time did yesterday’s football game start?
M: It’s scheduled to start at a quarter to 3, but it is delayed 30 minutes
due to the bad weather. Q: When did the football game start?
A. 3:15. B. 3:45. C. 3:30. D. 3:55.
這道題需要簡(jiǎn)單的運算，這就需要考生不但要記住兩個(gè)數字，而且還要弄清兩個(gè)數字的關(guān)系。通過(guò)對話(huà)我們可以得知比賽本打算差一刻三點(diǎn)開(kāi)始，但因天氣不好推遲了三十分鐘，所以比賽實(shí)際開(kāi)始的時(shí)間是A. 3:15。
2. 地點(diǎn)
地點(diǎn)類(lèi)型一般包括醫院、銀行、學(xué)校、飯店、旅館等。在特定的場(chǎng)合往往有特定的關(guān)鍵詞，例如醫院會(huì )有examination, X-ray，銀行會(huì )有bank account, deposit, 學(xué)
校會(huì )有campus, library, 飯店會(huì )有food, menu等。所以抓住關(guān)鍵詞就等于題目作對了一多半。
如：
M: Would you prefer rice or a baked potato with that? W: I’d prefer a baked potato. Q: Where are the man and the woman?
A. In a hotel.
B. At supermarket. C. In a restaurant.
D. In a market.
很明顯，關(guān)鍵詞是rice or a baked potato，再根據所用句式，我們可以推斷他們是再飯店里。所以C是本題的答案。
3. 人物關(guān)系
人物關(guān)系一般涉及到醫生和病人、警察和司機、老師和學(xué)生、房東和房客等。除了抓關(guān)鍵詞外，說(shuō)話(huà)人的態(tài)度、語(yǔ)氣也可以作為答題的線(xiàn)索。 如：
W: I’d like to deposit this in my savings account.
M: All right. Please print your name on the deposit slip.
Q: What’s the relationship between the woman and the man?
A. Customer and bank clerk. B. Teacher and student. C. Customer and waiter. D. Boss and employee.
對話(huà)中的關(guān)鍵詞為deposit, account, 再根據句中人物的語(yǔ)氣和所用句式，我們可以看出對話(huà)者之間的關(guān)系是A. Customer and bank clerk.
4. 人物態(tài)度
人物態(tài)度一般涉及到說(shuō)話(huà)人對某人某事的觀(guān)點(diǎn)和態(tài)度。問(wèn)題一般為：What does the man think of Tom? 或 What’s the man’s opinion of this play? 對話(huà)者的語(yǔ)氣在這里顯得更為重要，另外除了關(guān)鍵詞還會(huì )涉及到一些特殊句式，如雙重否定，反問(wèn)等，這些都需要考生注意。
如：
W: I hate to work, and I don’t know if it is worthwhile to do such a boring
job all day long.
M: It’s either work or starve. Q: What’s the man’s attitude?
A. People always start to make a living like this. B. Making a living is very difficult.
C. People have to work in order to make a living. D. It is better to have some work to do.
對話(huà)中的關(guān)鍵句為either work or starve(不工作就得挨餓)�？忌宄㧐ither ---or 的意思, 否則就很容易掉進(jìn)選項中設置的陷阱。答案為C. People have to work in order to make a living. 其實(shí)就是換了一種說(shuō)法，但需要考生在規定的時(shí)間內發(fā)現兩者之間的聯(lián)系。
5. 固定搭配
固定搭配涉及到口語(yǔ)中的一些習慣用法。這主要是靠考生的平時(shí)積累，另外通過(guò)說(shuō)話(huà)者的語(yǔ)氣、語(yǔ)調猜測也是一個(gè)辦法。 如：
M: You can’t get away with anything.
W: What do you mean? I’m not doing anything wrong. Q: What does the man mean?
A. You must take up the job.
B. You can’t avoid the punishment. C. You must do everything well. D. You are unable to do anything.
句中的固定搭配是 get away with, 意思是逃脫懲罰。答案是B. You can’t avoid the punishment. 另外如果不知道這個(gè)搭配，通過(guò)You can’t ----, I’m not doing anything wrong. 也可以大體猜出意思。
6. 推理
推理題是對話(huà)中難度較大的題。需要考生從字面意思推斷出更深層的意思。題目可能涉及到以上提到的一些內容，所以需要考生運用各種技巧選擇答案。
如：
W: Does the new tuition policy affect you?
M: Actually, I am not at least affected by it. But I do feel sorry for some of my classmates.
Q: What can you infer from the dialogue?
A. The man wants to apologize to his classmates. B. The man is badly affected by the policy. C. The man is very sad to know this.
D. The man’s classmates get into financial trouble because of the policy.
推理題中最常見(jiàn)的問(wèn)題就是What can you infer from the dialogue? 如果在聽(tīng)之前考生已經(jīng)讀完了選項，那么對考生的壓力就會(huì )小一些，因為他不用注意對話(huà)中的每一個(gè)細節，只要聽(tīng)到關(guān)鍵詞就可以了。就這道題而言，從選項我們可以知道是有關(guān)這位男士和新學(xué)費政策的推斷，所以考生只要聽(tīng)到not at least affected，feel sorry for classmates就可以了，由此可以推斷出D. The man’s classmates get into financial trouble because of the policy. 是本題的答案。
