Ladies and Gentlemen :
Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions:
1、 Do you know what is youth?
2、 How do you master your youth?
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

又是一天深夜，在抗住了八九點(diǎn)的困意并且寫(xiě)完了其他作業(yè)后的我開(kāi)始完成今天最艱巨的任務(wù)——英語(yǔ)演講稿。打開(kāi)電腦，原本想在之前寫(xiě)過(guò)的稿子上(盡管只寫(xiě)了開(kāi)頭，而且句子太長(cháng)不適合當演講稿)進(jìn)行修改，進(jìn)入桌面，這才發(fā)現原來(lái)文件被存在另外一個(gè)電腦里，已經(jīng)不可能拷貝過(guò)來(lái)了，我偏偏又不記得自己寫(xiě)了些什么。
無(wú)奈之下，我又盯了很久的桌面，卻又一直沒(méi)能找到Word的圖標，突然，我想起來(lái)它要打開(kāi)已有的文件再進(jìn)到新文件。我看了看右下角的時(shí)間，5分鐘過(guò)去了，我連標題都還沒(méi)打呢。我之前從來(lái)沒(méi)寫(xiě)過(guò)這一類(lèi)文章，看來(lái)今晚注定又是一個(gè)不眠之夜。我翻開(kāi)了之前去培訓時(shí)所寫(xiě)下的筆記�？戳丝慈匀粵](méi)有什么思路。要不就憑自己的感覺(jué)隨便試試?我寫(xiě)了個(gè)引子，然后又在開(kāi)頭試著(zhù)提出質(zhì)疑：兩個(gè)問(wèn)句，接著(zhù)順著(zhù)回答來(lái)寫(xiě)�，F在文章的思路已經(jīng)基本上出來(lái)了：就是接著(zhù)往里面填內容了。
雖然在寫(xiě)之前就準備好了素材，寫(xiě)的'時(shí)候還是得在翻譯界面和輸入頁(yè)反復切換。這時(shí)，我真的非常質(zhì)疑自己的英語(yǔ)水平：這個(gè)單詞可不可數?這個(gè)單詞到底什么意思?有沒(méi)有這種用法?句子怎樣才能寫(xiě)的長(cháng)短適中?連接詞用哪一個(gè)?……幸好Word自帶有檢查的程序，要不然我又會(huì )因為不熟悉鍵盤(pán)打字而錯誤百出了。
寫(xiě)完稿子已經(jīng)很晚了，我關(guān)上電腦，檢查都懶得了，拉上眼罩呼呼大睡——修改是明天的事了。
