OBJECTIVE :
To obtain a teaching position in an elementary school.
PROFILE :
A highly energetic and enthusiastic individual, specialising in English and History. Dedicated to providing the best education and care to children aged 7 – 10 years.
EXPERIENCE :
Andover Elementary School, Wrentham MA 2001 – 2002
Temporary Teaching Placement
Served as a temporary teacher for a class of 9 year olds on a one-year contract. Prepared English and History assignments reviewed and corrected all homework with an emphasis on providing feedback to each student.
Devised lessons, which captured the children’s imaginations for e.g.: Preparing scenes from well-known works or scenes from historical events and having the children act them out.
Tutored three children after school that were having difficulties in making their grades.
Provided a monthly written report to the school board and the PTA on the progress of the class at the end of each calendar month.
South Boston Elementary School, Boston MA 2000 – 2001
Teaching Assistant
Assisted the teaching staff of South Boston Elementary School by preparing lessons in English, History, and Geography.
Corrected assignments and provided reports to each teacher on the grades achieved by each class.
Assisted course tutors in the preparation of lessons for individual tutoring sessions.
Co-ordinated presentations and demonstrations as part of the teaching curriculum.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
During the summers of 1999 and 2000 I participated in a Community Programme that provided extra tuition to local underprivileged children and assisted within the camp organising games and entertainment.
Obtained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate in 2000.
Participated in the summer of 2001 with a foreign exchange programme teaching spoken and written English to a group of twenty Spanish Students.
PERSONAL DETAILS :
I am currently training for this years New York Marathon and I also enjoy swimming, and aerobics.
