Everyone has his own hometown, so do I. Do you want to know my hometown? Let me tell you something about it.
I was born in Shicun Town. It lies in the north of Guangrao. It’s about 10 kilometers from Guangrao county. Although there are not high mountains or long rivers, there are friendly and hard-working people like my parents, there are my good friends that have played and studied with me since we were young children. So I still think it is the most beautiful and I love it very much.

My hometown lies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all over the world.
我的家鄉位于華北平原。中國著(zhù)名的京杭大運河是我們村莊的東邊。這是我的祖先們世世代代居住的地方。當我還是個(gè)小孩時(shí),我經(jīng)常和別的'孩子在運河的岸邊上玩耍。我看著(zhù)過(guò)往的船只,我想環(huán)游世界。
There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.
我們村子大約有800人。村子前面的一個(gè)池塘里充滿(mǎn)著(zhù)魚(yú)。夏天的時(shí)候，我過(guò)去常常在那里游泳在，冬天的時(shí)候就滑冰。我童年最快樂(lè )的日子就是在這個(gè)池塘里。
To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops begin to grow, turning the fields green. When crops turn yellow in autumn, the peasants start to harvest them.
我們村以北是偉大的田野。當春天來(lái)時(shí)，莊稼開(kāi)始生長(cháng)，把整個(gè)田野變成綠色。當莊稼在秋天變黃時(shí)，農民就開(kāi)始收獲了。
Between the canal and our village is an orchard. There were only a few kinds of fruit trees years ago, but now the peasants grow many sorts, including peach, plum, apple and orange.
我們村和運河之間是一個(gè)果園。幾年前只有幾種果樹(shù)，但現在農民種植了很多品種，有桃、李、蘋(píng)果和橙。
The majority of the villagers have become much better off. About a quarter of the households have bought television sets and tape recorders. A reading-room and a library have been built. Every evening many young people go to the evening school to learn science and read newspapers.
大部分的村民生活已經(jīng)變好了。大約四分之一的家庭買(mǎi)了電視機和錄音機。一個(gè)閱覽室和一個(gè)圖書(shū)館已經(jīng)建成。每天晚上很多年輕人去夜校學(xué)習科學(xué)知識和閱讀報紙。

My home town is a good place .
It is near a hill. There are many big trees、beautiful flowers and nice food.
There is a shopping mall in the centre of the town.There are many shops in the shopping mall.Such as: clothes shops 、shoe shops、sports shops and KFC.It also has a park.You can go walking there .You can see green trees and lakes ,too.
There is little air pollution,because cars can't go into the centre of the town.
Peple here are very friendly and helpful .
I think my home town is a wonderful place to live.
