已經(jīng)6月了，那7、8月的暑假還會(huì )遠么。既然假期快到了，我們還是緊跟時(shí)髦，趕緊來(lái)學(xué)一些跟假期有關(guān)的英語(yǔ)詞匯短語(yǔ)吧。
或許你會(huì )覺(jué)得holiday這么簡(jiǎn)單有什么好學(xué)的?其實(shí)越簡(jiǎn)單越容易讓你掉以輕心。就最基本的來(lái)說(shuō)，你知道a holiday和two holidays分別是什么意思嗎?
“一天假期和兩天假期的意思?”
這么想就錯了。a holiday并非a day，因為holiday的意思是一段時(shí)間的假期，并非是一天假期。就算假期持續2天，也算作a holiday。
Holiday: a time of rest from work, school etc.
更進(jìn)一步說(shuō)，two holidays并不是指“兩天假期”，而是“兩次假期”的意思。還有，holidays除了是復數之外，還被用來(lái)表示持續很久的長(cháng)假(如暑假)。

(休息一兩天的)短假

例：Tony has some holiday mood, he is still sleeping at home right now.

Phrase 6: Roman holiday
并非指“羅馬假日”，指的是辛災樂(lè )禍
