At present, the phenomenon of left-behind children is becoming unprecedentedly visible in China. According to a recent survey con-ducted by CCTV, the past five years has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of left-behind children to an astonishing number of 3,240,000.
It goes without saying that there are many disadvantages. To begin with, left-behind children are not taken good care of by their parentsbecause of the distance. Therefore, many of them are rather weak physically and psychologically. Whafs more, they are easily led astray due to the absence of parental love and guidance, even being lured to commit crimes.
As far as I am concerned, measures should be taken to solve the problem. People should endeavor to offer love and concern to these children. The parents in particular should not make money at the sacri-fice of ignorance of their children. Also, policies should be implemen-ted so that left-behind children from countryside can have equal access to educational opportunities，medical care and other services with other children. (168)
