Harry Potter is a magical school student who wears glasses and has no parents now he is 16 years old. He is very brave and known by everyone because he is the only person who will not die by devil. At school he has two good friends they are Rone and Henry. When read the book my first time I feel very exciting and interesting. So I read it again and again each time I have different feelings sometimes I even feel as if I’m one of Potter’s partners. 　　Ambition is a strong desire to propel one to final success in career or other meaningful endeavors.Just like Epstein has artistically put it,“And as we decide and choose, so are our lives formed”,ambition renders motivational support for an individual and leads him or her to the real meaning of life. Therefore, I cannot agree more with him in regard to what ambition is and how it functions in one's life.

　　Like the pole star, ambition remains steady and ever bright over one's life horizon. There is only one secret for success, that is, to go in the direction your goal calls you towards the destination. It is ambition that serves as the guiding principle for a life experience. Without ambition to strive for, we would be justified to remain idle all year round as long as we are fed and keep alive. For instance,a student who dreams of being a political leader appears active in students' union and extracurricular activities. He works hard, though no one asks him to, at sociology, psychology, law and so on, those sciences highly expected of a politician. It is his ambition that drives him to study hard and take the most advantage of his time at school. So by exercising his ambition at school, he is paving his way for the future. In contrast, poor-performance students are often those without a clear-cut vision for their future. That is why helping students with goal setting are supposed to be a task for all educational practitioners.

　　As a conclusion, ambition more often than not acts as strong motivation and orientation for a person's ultimate dream. With it or without it, our life will be formed accordingly. So for a moree fruitful end of our life in this world, we all should think and rethink about our ambition.

On September 11th, thousands of people died when terrorists hijacked airplanes that struck buildings in Washington D.C. and New York City. Many people now say they are worried about flying on a plane. Travel experts say almost 6 percent fewer people will make long trips this Thanksgiving compared with last year. Many Americans who usually visit family and friends by plane are driving shorter distances instead this week. Some mental health experts say the attacks have frightened people. They say people feel safer and happier close to home. More than any other holiday, Thanksgiving is a celebration of family and home. Many people say that this year they are especially thankful for their families and friends and the good things in their lives. On Thanksgiving, people enjoy a long day of cooking, eating and talking. The traditional meal almost always includes the turkey with a bread mixture cooked inside. Other traditional Thanksgiving food served with turkey are sweet potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie. Stores are said to sell more food at Thanksgiving than at any other time of the year, and many people eat more food at Thanksgiving than at any other time of the year. Over the years, Americans have added new traditions to their Thanksgiving celebration. For example, a number off professional and university football games are played on Thanksgiving Day. Some of the games are broadcast on national television.

　　The name "Tally Youngblood", the main character, was the first thing interested me in this book. The word youngblood reminded me so many things. But the story did more.

　　"Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she cant wait. Not for her license--for turning pretty. In Tallys world, your sixteenth birthday brings an operation that turns you from a repellent ugly into a stunningly attractive pretty and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks Tally will be there.

　　But Tallys new friend Shay isnt sure she wants to be pretty. Shed rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world---- and it isnt very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. The choice Tally makes changes her world forever."

　　While reading this book, I kept having a weird phrase in my head:"to be or not to be". Is friendship more important than owning a pretty face? Is it the outside that really matters? Is freedom of having your independent ideas that important? Tally sure struggled through lots of conflicts. Even though this is a science fiction, but I felt as I was Tally, making lots of choices that could change your life forever. 14, such a sensitive age, will I ever betray my friends or lover for something not important at all?
