　　每天清晨，我都會(huì )被爺爺那嘰哩呱啦的英語(yǔ)聲給吵醒。你肯定會(huì )疑惑不解，告訴你吧，我爺爺隨著(zhù)奧運會(huì )的一天天臨近，竟然每天早上五點(diǎn)多鐘就開(kāi)始學(xué)英語(yǔ)了。

　　爺爺常說(shuō)："奧運會(huì )是我們中國人的驕傲。"到時(shí)肯定會(huì )有許多外國人來(lái)我們張家港觀(guān)光旅游。如果走在大街上老外問(wèn)咱們問(wèn)題，咱們聽(tīng)不懂，也不知道怎么說(shuō)，肯定會(huì )讓他們笑話(huà)的。于是，爺爺就去"歐亞"報了個(gè)老年英語(yǔ)培訓班。由于爺爺的英語(yǔ)基礎很差，學(xué)起來(lái)就特別的困難，再加上爺爺的一個(gè)門(mén)牙也掉了，發(fā)起音來(lái)更是費勁，而且還要鬧笑話(huà)。雖然有這么多困難，但是爺爺很堅持，天天抱著(zhù)復讀機聽(tīng)個(gè)不停，還樂(lè )此不疲。

　　為了把英語(yǔ)學(xué)好，爺爺要求我和他用英語(yǔ)互相問(wèn)候和對話(huà)。比如：每天早上他看到我起床就說(shuō)一聲："Goodmorning（早上好）！"下午放學(xué)回家就說(shuō)："Goodafternoon（下午好）！"等簡(jiǎn)單的句子。有一次，我給爺爺倒了杯茶，他連忙說(shuō)："Thankyou（謝謝）！"結果說(shuō)成了"坦克油"，把我逗的捧腹大笑，差點(diǎn)把剛喝的水給噴了出來(lái)。在一旁吃飯的老爸更是笑得前俯后仰。奶奶也一邊笑一邊拍打著(zhù)爺爺說(shuō)："老頭子，你都這么大年紀了，普通話(huà)都說(shuō)不標準，還學(xué)英語(yǔ)呢，哈哈哈——"。爺爺故作鎮定的說(shuō)："這有什么好笑的，不就是把音讀的重了一點(diǎn)嘛！"我連忙告訴爺爺說(shuō)："爺爺，如果你把音讀重了，就有可能變成另外一個(gè)意思，那樣的話(huà)，外國人就有可能理解錯誤的。"爺爺聽(tīng)了迫不及待的讓我教他，我耐心的一遍又一遍教他發(fā)音。雖然他的發(fā)音還是不怎么標準，可他堅持不懈的精神值得我們全家人贊嘆。

　　爺爺身體不太好，還有糖尿病，醫生叮囑過(guò)爺爺要保證睡眠的充足，可爺爺為了學(xué)好英語(yǔ)，晚上仍然堅持去上老年英語(yǔ)培訓班。爸爸也曾勸他多休息，擔心過(guò)分的勞累會(huì )影響他的身體。但他堅定的對我們全家人說(shuō)："為了北京的奧運，再大的困難也要堅持！"

　　Making marginal notes on the book is indispensable for the following reasons. First, it keeps us wide awake. If reading is accomplishing anything more than passing time, it must be active. We can't just let our eyes glide across the lines of a book and come up with an understanding of it. In the second place, reading, if it is active, is thinking, and thinking tends to express itself in words, spoken or written. The marked book is usually the thought through book. Finally, writing helps us remember the thought we had, or the thought the author expressed. The physical act of writing, with our own hand, brings words and sentences more sharply before our mind and preserves them better in our memory.
