People are talking about the "new economy"

It's very different with the "old economy".They see people face-to-face at theirjob or in stores. People get information from newspapers, radios, televisions, reference books and the library.

In the new economy, people do business through the "net", which is a connection of millions of computers everywhere in the world. In the new economy, workers often work at home. They can get information on-line. They can communicate with employers and co-workers by e-mail. Customers
shop on-line. Businesses have "virtual stores". They are websites on which customers can see the products. Businesses can sell to customers anywhere in the world.
新經(jīng)濟中，人們通過(guò)網(wǎng)絡(luò )做生意，網(wǎng)絡(luò )把世界各地數以百萬(wàn)計的計算機連接在一起。新經(jīng)濟中，工人經(jīng)常在家工作。他們可以上網(wǎng)獲取信息，可以通過(guò)電子郵件和雇主、同事進(jìn)行交流。顧客可以網(wǎng)上購物。商行都有“虛擬店鋪”，就是網(wǎng)站，顧客可以在上面瀏覽商品。商行可以把東西賣(mài)給世界各地的顧客。
In the new economy, people live a fast paced, convenient and colorful life. The whole world develops more rapidly than before. But the new economy is a double-edged sword.Its disadvantage is also obvious. For example, the Internet has led to a huge increase in credit-card cheating. Some illegal websites offer some cheap or banned goods or services.On-line shoppers who enter their credit-card information may never receive the goods they want to buy and their card informarion could even be for sale on an illegal website. So peopie in the new economy should be more smart and knowledgeable.
新經(jīng)濟中，人們生活節奏緊湊、便利多彩。整個(gè)世界的發(fā)展速度比以前更為迅猛。但新經(jīng)濟是一把雙刃劍。其問(wèn)題也顯而易見(jiàn)。比如，網(wǎng)絡(luò )已經(jīng)使得信用卡詐騙的數目猛增。有些非法網(wǎng)站提供某些便宜或違禁的商品或服務(wù)。那些輸入信用卡信息的網(wǎng)上購物者也許永遠不會(huì )收到他們想買(mǎi)的商品，他們的信用卡信息甚至可能在某個(gè)非法網(wǎng)站出售。所以生活在新經(jīng)濟時(shí)代的人們應該更明智，更淵博。
