This picture is humorous but reveals a profound meaning. According to this figure, we can see that two individuals are digging wells for water with spades. However, one person gives up looking for water because he digs even three holes but still cannot find any water, while the other one insists on digging one hole and finally receives an abundance of water.
This picture tells us one principle which is a famous proverb called “Success belongs to the persevering”. It is obvious that the chance of finding water is fair enough to the two men. Nevertheless, the reason leading to the completely different consequences is only their different attitudes. As students, we should not doubt that the God will favor one special group and feel upset and hopeless. To be frank, our society is realistic and it provides everyone with same opportunities. We need to seize the opportunities, correct our attitudes and be down-to-earth persons. I firmly believe that we can achieve our goals by persevering painstaking efforts. Nothing is impossible as long as we do our best. In addition, sometimes insisting itself is not absolutely unquestioned. If we choose an unpractical goal, it is just a behavior of wasting life. On the contrary, it is wise to set an objective cautiously and then keep going without any complaints.

research, relating to identical twins, has highlighted how significant inherited characteristics can be for an individuals life. but whether these characteristics getword(characteristics); are able to develop within the personality of an individual surely depends on whether the circumstances allow such a development. it seems that the eperiences we have in life are so unpredictable and so powerful, that they can boost or over-ride other influences, and there seems to be plenty of research findings to confirm this.
my own view is that there is no one major influence in a persons life. instead, the traits we inherit from our parents and the situation and eperiences that we encounter in life are constantly interacting. it is the interaction getword(interaction); of the two that shapes a persons personality and dictates how that personality develops. if this were not true, we would be able to predict the behavior and character of a person from the moment they were born. in conclusion, i do not think that either nature or nurture is the major influence on a person, but that both have powerful effects.
