請假條(written request for leave)是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習者必須掌握的常用應用文之一，它包括請病假(note for sick leave)和請事假(leave of absence)。請假條是用于向老師或上級領(lǐng)導等因身體狀況不好或因某事請求準假的場(chǎng)合。
英文請假條寫(xiě)作需注意三點(diǎn)：
1.英文中請假條的.寫(xiě)法和漢語(yǔ)請假條相同， 它一般由四部分組成，即時(shí)間、稱(chēng)呼、正文和簽名。
2.一般而言，可認定請假條是一種簡(jiǎn)單的書(shū)信文體。請假條一般寫(xiě)在紙上，不用信封。其書(shū)寫(xiě)格式與書(shū)信有很多相似之處，是書(shū)信的大大簡(jiǎn)化。
