英語(yǔ)面試技巧之你有什么優(yōu)勢？
When an interviewer asks this question, s/he is trying to find out what you consider your strengths. From your resume and from the interview so far, s/he will have an opinion about what your strengths are. Now s/he wants to find out if you value the same strengths as s/he does. The strengths you mention will also give the interviewer a very clear idea of what you value most in your life.
當面試官問(wèn)你這個(gè)問(wèn)題的時(shí)候，他是想知道你認為自己的優(yōu)勢在哪里。通過(guò)從簡(jiǎn)歷和面試的了解，他已經(jīng)對你的優(yōu)勢有所判斷，他想確認是否與你對自己優(yōu)勢的評估一致。你對自己優(yōu)勢的剖析也會(huì )讓面試官更清晰地了解你的人生觀(guān)。

1. You should prepare a clear answer to this question before the interview. By preparing in advance, you will sound confident about your own abilities and your character. Preparation is the key to this question.
面試前你就應該對這個(gè)問(wèn)題有清晰的思路。事前準備會(huì )讓你的表述顯示出對自己的能力和特質(zhì)信心滿(mǎn)滿(mǎn)。因此，準備工作至關(guān)重要。
2. When you prepare your list of strengths, make sure that these strengths are directly related to the requirements of the job.
當你列舉自己的優(yōu)勢時(shí)，確保這些優(yōu)勢有與你所應聘的職位密切相關(guān)。
3. Make a list of what you consider to be your strengths and then write a short sentence to describe each strength. Support each sentence with a real example. If this is difficult, imagine how your mother, previous boss, wife would describe you to a stranger. For example:
a) Responsibility – I enjoy taking responsibility and getting things done. I’ve been team leader in my last three jobs and I took complete responsibility for upgrading our sales procedures.”
b) Communication – I express myself well and communicate clearly and honestly. I’ve given a number of sales presentations in my previous job.”
列舉出自我優(yōu)勢條目，用簡(jiǎn)潔的句子描述，并對每個(gè)優(yōu)勢加以例證。如果覺(jué)得很難，那就想想你的母親、前任老板或者你太太會(huì )怎樣對陌生人介紹你。例如：
a) 責任感–我很樂(lè )于承擔責任并且完成任務(wù)。過(guò)去的3份工作中我都作為團隊領(lǐng)袖，全面負責銷(xiāo)售流程的提升。
b) 溝通能力–我能夠很好地表達自己，清晰真誠地溝通。先前的工作中我做過(guò)許多銷(xiāo)售報告。
4. Don’t worry about sounding over-confident. Most interview candidates are too modest. If you have prepared five or six positive characteristics you have, tell the interviewer about them. This not the time to be modest.
不要擔心自己會(huì )顯得過(guò)于自信。多數面試上候選人都太謙遜了。如果你準備好了5~6個(gè)積極的個(gè)人特質(zhì)，就大膽地告訴面試官，把謙虛都拋開(kāi)吧。
5. Give clear examples to demonstrate your most important qualities. “I’m a good leader. I’ve been class leader, football captain and in my previous job I was promoted to manage a team so I’ve demonstrated leadership ability in the past.” “I enjoy taking initiative. In my past positions, I’ve been a project manager, a team leader and I established new customer service procedures.”
對自己最重要的'品質(zhì)給出明確了事例。“我是個(gè)好領(lǐng)導。我曾經(jīng)擔任過(guò)班干部，足球隊長(cháng)，在前一份工作中我也被晉升為團隊的主管，我的領(lǐng)導力在過(guò)去已經(jīng)得到了充分的證明。”“我很享受持有主動(dòng)權，在我之前的職位中，我擔任過(guò)項目經(jīng)理，團隊主管，并且建立了新的客戶(hù)服務(wù)流程。
6. DON’T – give too many strengths. Focus on four or five strengths and explain them in detail. Be prepared to explain your GREATEST strength.
切忌–列舉的優(yōu)勢過(guò)多。集中描述4~5個(gè)優(yōu)勢并逐一例證。對于最閃光的優(yōu)勢更要做好充足準備。

I believe I have a number of strengths that will contribute to my success in this position. Firstly, I enjoy taking responsibility. In my past positions I’ve worked independently and taken responsibility for completion of a number of projects. My previous supervisors have delegated more responsibility during my employment. Secondly, I’m goal-oriented. I like to have clearly defined tasks and deadlines and I’m totally committed to reaching these goals. I completed my customer service assignment with my previous company ahead of deadline. Finally, I’m loyal. Over the past ten years I’ve remained with two companies getting regular promotions at work. I like working my way up in an organization and contribution to my company’s success.
